SUHU SUHU (pronounced soo-hoo soo-hoo) is a Los Angeles general store curating cozy, functional objects for everyday living.
Our name comes from a playful twist on the Mandarin word for comfort, 舒服 (shūfú). In Taiwanese slang it's said in a more laid-back way, softened into suhu — that easy, unguarded feeling of being fully at ease. Lounging on the couch, like no one's watching. Completely yourself.
Everything we carry is meant to help you build a suhu space: one filled with objects that feel good to hold, easy to live with, and worth keeping.

惜物 sits at the heart of how we curate. It means to care for and cherish material things — not out of frugality, but out of respect for the craft, the maker, and the resources behind every object.
It's the opposite of mindless consumption. It's choosing one good brush over ten cheap ones. It's using the same cup every morning until it feels like yours.
We look for objects made from materials that age beautifully, designed to be maintained rather than replaced, and rooted in a culture of making that values slowness and intention.
